We hope this message finds you well. We wish to take a moment to update you on some important developments at the Balmain Bowling Club. As many of you may be aware, the operation of the club continues to incur substantial financial losses. To address this situation and ensure the long-term sustainability of our club, we continue to work hard behind the scenes, and we have taken significant steps forward.
We are pleased to announce that the club has just lodged a Development Application (DA) with the Inner-west Council for the installation of a new synthetic green, complete with a state-of-the-art canopy over the existing full green.
The total cost of this facility is estimated to be approximately $1.4 million once completed and has taken many months and substantial financial funding working with consultants . The benefits of this installation will be substantial,
enabling us to increase revenue through barefoot bowls and ensuring our existing members can play bowls all year round without losing days to rain. The program of construction and commencement date will be advised once the DA
is approved and all stakeholders will be given sufficient notice of any changes. In addition, the club has been working with consultants to lodge a Development Application (DA) with Inner West Council for substantial renovations to the clubhouse.
We will keep you updated on the progress of this initiative in due course. I wish to take this opportunity to thank Adam Nance and his team for their continued efforts and support.
Finally, your support and participation are more crucial than ever as we navigate these challenges together. Thank you for being a valued member of our club and community.
